Pagani Zonda Tricolore (2010 - 2011)

The second novelty introduced by Pagani in the Geneva Motor Show (Switzerland) in 2010 along with the Roadster Cinque, was the Zonda Tricolore.

Created as a homage to the “Frecce Tricolori”, the aerobatic demonstration team of the Italian army, for its 50th anniversary.

On the outside is a mid-way between the soft and sedated lines of the F and the radicality of the Cinque, it features for the first time in Pagani daytime running lights (DRL) mounting LED stripes under the main front lights, which have been upgraded with bixenon lamps and whose inner part has been painted black, and it sports a blue and gold colour combination, with the Italian flag honoring its name embracing the tip of the bonnet as a tribute to the colours of the Frecce Tricolori.

Another first of the Tricolore are the blue hue of the body is not achieved by applying paint, instead a transparent lacquer is applied that allows for the weave of the carbon fiber beneath to show and the aerodynamic "fin" situated over the rear engine cover.

Mechanically is very similar to the Cinque, altough the V12 is slightly less powerful due to the loss of the roof air snorkel.

3 units of the Tricolore were ever built, in favour to its name.
