Pagani Huayra BC Macchina Volante (2017)

In 2017, Kris Singh, the American owner of La Monza Lisa reveived his new Huayra one-off, this time based on the Huayra BC. Kris is a very active member of the petrolhead community, and it's not hard to find him in meetings and routes with some of his exotic machines.

Named Macchina Volante (Italian for flying machine), it has a number of changes compared to a "normal" BC. Most of these changes are located in the back; A snorkel-like carbon fiber scoop is added on top of the rear window, similar to that introduced in the Zonda Cinque.
Over the openings on the shoulder line, another two elements, also inherited from the Cinque, stand like two little ears giving it an even more extreme presence. Another small differentiating detail are the side mirrors, which are the Zonda F ones, a little bigger than the original ones and that have a little Italian flag on the sides.

Whether the extra air flow coming into the engine generated by these appendices allow for a higher power figure remains unknown, although it's doubtful the 789 hp (778 bhp) generated by the twin turbo 6 litre AMG from the standard Huayra BC are insufficient.

The exteior combines bright naked carbon fiber panels with other pieces lacquered in electric blue with accents like the rear diffusor's blades or the wheel rings.

The interior is even more intimidating, dominated by black brushed aluminium and alcantara pieces combined with loads of carbon fiber and blue touches like the gear lever or the rev counter, while the seats are upholstered in a tartan fabric that mimics the pattern of the Mercedes-Benz W196's seats Juan Manuel Fangio dominated the 1955 Formula 1 season.

Another nod to the Argentinian driver and its race car is the number 12 on the rear wing, the same number the Mercedes displayed and that's also present in the La Monza Lisa.
