Pagani Huayra BC (2016)

The first major evolution of the Huayra was introduced by Pagani in the Geneva Motorshow (Switzerland) in 2016.

The BC initials belong to Benny Caiola, an Italian builder emigrated to the USA and great car collector, specially Ferraris.
Benny, besides being a personal friend of Horacio, became the very first Pagani customer after acquiring the first Zonda C12. He passed away in 2010 at the age of 79.
A curious anecdote published by Pagani was a letter Benny sent to Modena in the year 2000, in it he admired the virtues of his Pagani, which he described as "the Michelangelo of the industry" and declared it was more refined than any of his Ferraris. Then, as a proof of gratitude, he included 1000$ for Horacio to treat his mechanics to a fine dinner.

Its numbers bring it into hypercar territory. The twin turbo V12 increases its power officially by 59 HP to 789, although rumors suggest real figures would be over 800, for an incredible 1218 Kg (2685 Lb), 132 (291) less than the Huayra.
To reach these figures, Pagani decided to emphasize lightness instead of hybridizing the BC like other hypercars like the Ferrari LaFerrari, the Porsche 918 Spyder or the McLaren P1.

The BC carries on with the R+D work that began with the Zonda R and Cinque. Components like the suspension, the exhaust, the gearbox or the brakes have been completely redesigned to develop a higher performance with a lower weight and a more sportive and extreme behavior.

The exterior is a lot more aggressive and complex than before, bigger intakes have been opened in the front, and redesigned LED daytime running lights (DRL) are mounted on the new carbon fiber winglets. On the sides, a complex framework of aerodynamic elements begins with the new intakes in the upper part of the wheel arches, continues with the new side skirts and concludes with a rear DTM-esque diffuser.
In the back, an enormous fixed wing that spans nearly the entire with of the car rests on the shoulders, complements the flaps underneath it.
The 7 double-armed forged wheels mounted on Pirelli P Zero Corsa tyres specifically designed for the BC grow 1 inch to 20 and 21 respectively, and yet still manage to reduce the unsprung mass due to their lightness.

The interior is completely invaded by the alcantara that substitutes the leather in most surfaces, in consistency with its track animal nature, and even includes a fire extinguisher in the passenger's footrest area.

There are evidences that Pagani have been testing the car in the German circuit of the Nรผrburgring Nordschleife in 2016, although no official time has been revealed for the time being, perhaps holding until the time for their most direct rival in this matter, the Koenigsegg One:1.

A total of 20 units of the BC were developed.
